Smart Base Steel Bed Frame

The smart base can also be used in the situation where you cannot fit a full size or queen size box spring up the stairs. This situation occurs much more often then you may realize. Because the smart base comes apart, it will go anywhere. Here in southeastern Ohio, I have known people to literally (no lie) use a chain saw to slice a box spring in two and then re-assemble it in the room it goes in. Another true story (from the true stories of 25 years in the mattress business), is we had a customer who ordered a queen size bed but my delivery crew could not get the box spring to make the turn in his stair case. This guy got so angry that he got his chain saw, started it (visions of SAW 5) and proceeded to cut part of his stair banister away so the box spring could pass. We were in horror but he said screw it, we are going to re-model some day anyway. I bet his wife had some words for him when she got home!

A bad point about the smart base steel bed frame is that it comes with legs, not wheels. This frame is not designed to be dragged, scooted or pulled across a room. It can break. The smart base needs to be picked up (with the mattress and bedding off of it) can carried to where it is going. Please do not drag it because you will break it.
